Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Casy Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Pyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pyle has chosen Bate Pesadão as his entrance music. Christopher Pyle has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Casy Carver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Christopher Pyle!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pyle has Carver up against the cage in a clinch.

Carver ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Carver no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Carver has control of Pyle's left arm, preventing Pyle from doing any damage.
Pyle wants to stand and escape but instead Carver has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Carver working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Carver is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Carver has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carver tries to free his leg and advance position but Pyle is retaining full guard.

Carver drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Pyle dives on top into guard.
Carver wants to sweep but no luck.

Casy Carver has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Pyle clinches up with Carver and pushes him back against the cage.

Carver manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Carver bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pyle's guard.

Pyle can't keep his opponent in guard - Carver advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Carver takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Carver throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Carver is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pyle has managed to free his arm - good work.

Carver lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Carver working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Carver looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Carver is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pyle closes the distance and clinches.
Pyle is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Carver is defending well for now.

Carver has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pyle uses from the top position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Carver shoots for a double leg takedown but Pyle sprawls well. He's pushed Carver's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Pyle moves into the clinch.
Carver jumps guard but Pyle stands there with Carver around his waist. Carver gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Casy Carver. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pyle tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Carver avoids it.

Carver pulls guard successfully.
Carver looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pyle is one step ahead there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Christopher Pyle was stalling too much, according to the referee.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Carver wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Pyle uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Carver lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Carver scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Carver stays in close to Pyle's body and controls the position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carver, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
