PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Slade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kristal Kabashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johnny Slade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kristal Kabashi!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kabashi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Slade swivels and escapes.

Slade gets a double leg takedown into Kabashi's guard.
Kabashi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Slade throwing strikes from guard but Kabashi blocks nicely.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kabashi can do anything to dispel that myth.

Slade drops back looking for a leg! Kabashi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kabashi manages to kick Slade off! Slade jumps back into Kabashi's guard.
Slade trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Slade postures up and lands a big shot to Kabashi's brow.

Slade thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Slade drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Slade seems to have locked his on tight now - Kabashi screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Slade, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Johnny Slade!
A less than humble Johnny Slade misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
