The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timber tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Conner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Timber closes the distance but Conner moves to the side
and Conner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Timber looks to clinch
and Conner counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Timber takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Conner misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Timber shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Conner but Conner pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Timber closes the distance and clinches up with Conner, looking for a takedown. Timber pushes Conner against the cage but Conner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Matthew Conner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lim Timber.

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Conner screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
