Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saputo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Darko was well out of range. Poor timing from Saputo.
Saputo throws a looping overhand right but Darko ducks down to avoid it.
Saputo slips a jab and a cross from Darko.
A right-left combo lands from Darko.
A jab from Saputo finds it's way through Darko's defenses.

It looks like Donnie Darko has been cut.
Saputo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Darko.

The fighters circle momentarily. Saputo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Darko tries to bum rush Saputo with a series of wild strikes but Saputo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Saputo throws a body punch but Darko moves out of range.
Darko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Saputo cracks Darko with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

and Saputo counters with a crisp right hand that drops Darko! Saputo lets Darko back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Darko on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Saputo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Saputo counters with a straight right hand.
Saputo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Saputo lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Oh Darko is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Darko looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Saputo looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Darko seems to have got his legs back now.
Saputo getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Saputo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Darko had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

and Saputo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Darko is breathing heavily.

Saputo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Darko backs up against the cage.
Saputo throws a front kick aimed at Darko's knee but Darko avoids it well.

Saputo has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Darko takes one to the side of the head.
Saputo throws a leg kick but Darko moved away.
Darko thuds his right hand into Saputo's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Darko misses with a two punch combination.

Saputo walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Darko checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Darko walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Saputo cracks Darko with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Saputo sends Darko crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Saputo is motioning to the referee to let Darko up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Saputo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Saputo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Darko. Darko obviously looking to wear him down.
Saputo tries to score with a low kick but Darko moves his leg out of the way.

Saputo lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Darko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Saputo sizes up Darko with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Saputo throws a series of punches but Darko avoids them all with ease.
Darko seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Saputo shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Darko is backing up but Saputo catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Darko covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Saputo Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
