Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Willer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Willer has chosen 50 Cent - Ready For War as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Willer!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Wilson. No joy for Willer on that attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Wilson lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Willer is pushing Wilson's head away, looking to escape. Wilson manages to hold on to the position though.
Willer is trying to control Wilson's posture but Wilson avoids it.
Willer is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Willer wants to stand and escape but Wilson is having none of it.

Willer wriggles free and stands up.
Willer connects with a high kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Willer.
Willer tries to clinch but Wilson moves out of range.
Wilson fails with the takedown
and Willer counters with an inside leg kick.
Wilson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Wilson keeps the fight on the outside.

Wilson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wilson tries for a takedown but Willer manages to get underhooks.
Willer is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Wilson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A nice inside leg kick there by Wilson. That's going to slow Willer down.

and Willer counters with a good, hard body kick but Wilson shrugs it off.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Wilson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Willer wants to clinch but Wilson slips to the side

and Wilson counters with a shoot takedown. Willer fights it but they end up in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Willer counters with a nice kick to the body.
Wilson shoots in looking for a takedown. Willer tries to sprawl out of it but Wilson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Willer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Wilson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Willer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wilson to the mat! Wilson manages to get full guard.
Willer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Willer wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving.
Willer is breathing heavily.

Wilson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Willer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Wilson shoots in and drives through. Willer sprawls well.
Willer throws a head kick that misses
and Wilson counters with a nice body kick.

Wilson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Willer's guard.
Wilson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Willer is looking to stand up but Wilson isn't so interested in that idea.
Scott Wilson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Willer looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Willer wants to get back to his feet but Wilson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Willer digs a good body shot into Wilson's ribs.

Wilson has Willer pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Willer manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Wilson wants to break free but Willer has control.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Wilson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Wilson wants to sweep but no luck.

Wilson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Willer is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wilson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Willer's back instead.

Willer is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Wilson.
Willer tries to escape but Wilson has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Wilson lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
What can Willer do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Wilson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Jack Willer will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Wilson misses with a two punch combination.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wilson is pressed up against the cage. Willer has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wilson down to the mat. Wilson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Horrible takedown by Willer or perhaps it was just good defense by Wilson which made him look bad.

The is referee keeping an eye on Wilson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Willer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Willer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Wilson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Willer, pushing him back against the cage.

Wilson is working for a kimura but Willer is defending it quite comfortably.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Wilson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
Scott Wilson showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Wilson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
