PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Erwin Ontario (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ontario might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to VHB - Freedom Fighter. Fowler has chosen "On The Hunt" by Lynyrd Skynyrd as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Ontario.
Ontario connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Ontario leaves Fowler with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fowler shoots in for a takedown but Ontario shows good takedown defense.
Fowler closes the distance and clinches up with Ontario, looking for a takedown. Fowler pushes Ontario against the cage but Ontario circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Erwin Ontario has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Austin Fowler.
Fowler on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fowler takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ontario digs a good hook to Fowler's body.
Fowler takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ontario, right into the meat.
Fowler shoots in for a double leg but Ontario sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fowler fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A left and a right from Ontario both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Austin Fowler has been cut.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ontario.
Ontario lands a right hook to the body.
Fowler fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ontario manages to avoid it.
Erwin Ontario seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ontario thuds his right hand into Fowler's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ontario. Fowler does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fowler shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ontario sprawls well. Ontario wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fowler gets slowly back to his feet.
Ontario with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Fowler needs to keep his hands up - Ontario had a free shot at his head there.
Ontario uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fowler has time to react.
Ontario takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ontario. That's going to slow Fowler down.
Ontario throws a hook but Fowler avoids it easily.
Fowler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Horrible takedown by Fowler or perhaps it was just good defense by Ontario which made him look bad.
Fowler fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Fowler takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fowler misses with a body shot.
Fowler misses with a hook. Ontario ducked under it nicely.
Fowler is trying desperately to land a takedown but Ontario is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Fowler.
Ontario throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Fowler looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ontario is fending him off so far but Fowler persists. Nope, Ontario circles away and we're back to standing.
Ontario cracks Fowler with an open hand slap.
Ontario connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Fowler is rocked!
Ontario is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Ontario circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Fowler to the canvas! Fowler doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Ontario keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
