Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Belmonte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Slice Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belmonte kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Los Lobos - Cancion Del Mariachi. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Belmonte. Slice Jr does a little dance to reset his feet.
Belmonte swings widly with a right hand
and Slice Jr counters with a one-two to the body.
Nice jab there from Belmonte.
Slice Jr takes a jab right on the kisser.
Belmonte tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Slice Jr moves out of range as Belmonte strikes.
Belmonte throws a jab but it's blocked by Slice Jr.
Slice Jr uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Belmonte.
Belmonte tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Slice Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from Belmonte.
Belmonte avoids a kick to the body.
Slice Jr wants to clinch.

Slice Jr rushes Belmonte and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Belmonte misses with a shot to the kidneys.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Slice Jr throws a knee to the head but misses.
Belmonte doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Belmonte is trying to maintain a safe position but Slice Jr gets an underhook and turns Belmonte into the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Slice Jr fails to land.
Slice Jr scores with a nice hook to the head.

Belmonte escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Slice Jr takes one on the button.
Belmonte attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Slice Jr drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Belmonte fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Belmonte is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Slice Jr misses with a body shot.
Slice Jr ducks under a wild hook from Belmonte.

Slice Jr drops Belmonte with a right and a left! Slice Jr comes rushing in but Belmonte regains his composure and manages to keep Slice Jr in guard.

Slice Jr gets to his feet and stands over Belmonte, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Belmonte felt that one! Slice Jr unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Belmonte from any more punishment!
