Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clark Channel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dule Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Clark Channel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dule Peterson!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Channel misses with a looping left.
Channel misses with a straight left.
Channel lands a jab to Peterson's midsection.
Channel is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Peterson.
Peterson swinging wilding here.
Peterson moves out of range of the strikes.
Peterson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Channel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Peterson.
Channel takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.


It looks like Dule Peterson has been cut.
Channel dodges the punch combination from Peterson.
Peterson blocks a head kick by Channel.
A slow jab from Channel misses its intended target.
Clark Channel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peterson tries to work over Channel's front leg with a kick but Channel checks it.

Channel connects with a good right hand that stumbles Peterson. Peterson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Channel on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Channel tries to get out of the position.

Channel uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Peterson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Channel's waist but Channel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Peterson off to one side.
Peterson seems to have recovered his senses.
Channel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Channel scores with a jab. Peterson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Channel waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Peterson.

Channel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Peterson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Channel drives through and clinches with Peterson against the cage.

Channel breaks the clinch.

Peterson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Channel.

Peterson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Peterson looks gassed!

Peterson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Channel pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Channel moves in looking to clinch but Peterson pushes him off.
Clark Channel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Peterson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Channel's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Channel has his feet on Peterson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Channel looks to land a left hand but Peterson moved out of range nicely.

Channel is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Channel jabs Peterson right on the nose. Peterson blinks but takes it well.

and Channel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Channel cracks Peterson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Channel connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Peterson shoots for a takedown but Channel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Channel throws a low kick but it's checked well by Peterson.

Peterson looking to control but Channel is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Channel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peterson on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Peterson is working for an americana but Channel has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Peterson was thinking about the submission.

Peterson shoots in looking for a takedown. Channel tries to sprawl out of it but Peterson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Channel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Peterson has his foot on Channel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Channel works his way back into a safe position though.
Peterson wants to stand and escape but Channel is having none of it.
Peterson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Channel gets to his feet. Peterson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Peterson feints and as Channel raises his hands in defense, Peterson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Channel wants to stand up but Peterson is controlling him.
Peterson wants to control from the top but Channel keeps moving.
Channel wants to stand up but Peterson is controlling him.
Peterson wants to get up but he can't break Channel's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Peterson tries to free his leg and advance position but Channel is retaining full guard.
Dule Peterson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Channel wants to stand up but Peterson is controlling him.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Dule Peterson.
I think Channel has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
