Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Slyker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slyker kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Richard Wagner - Ride of the Valkyries. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slyker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Slyker misses with a double jab.
Ortiz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Slyker throws a jab but it's blocked by Ortiz.
Ortiz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Slyker's waist but Slyker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ortiz off to one side.
Cain Slyker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Ortiz.

Good leg kick by Slyker there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Victor Ortiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Slyker tries to bum rush Ortiz with a series of wild strikes but Ortiz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ortiz shoots in and drives through. Slyker sprawls well.
Ortiz dodges the punch combination from Slyker.
Slyker connects with a nice cross there... Ortiz is looking wobbly and Slyker recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Ortiz to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Slyker jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
