The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sojat shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Iron Fist manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sojat trying to stand up but can't free himself from Iron Fist's guard.
Sojat wants to control from the top but Iron Fist keeps moving.
Iron Fist utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Iron Fist is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Sojat passes into half guard.

Sojat is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Sojat tries to pass the half guard into mount. Iron Fist knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Sojat goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Iron Fist turns into him and now he's in Sojat's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Iron Fist is looking to stand up but Sojat won't let him.
Iron Fist knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sojat on the ground.
Sojat is pulling down on Iron Fist's head to control his posture.
Iron Fist wanted to stand there but Sojat had control of the position.
Sojat manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Iron Fist manages to get himself to full guard.
Sojat throws a big right hand that misses.

Sojat is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Sojat decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Iron Fist, up you get!

and Sojat counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sojat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Iron Fist throws a knee to the head but misses.

Sojat's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyubi Sojat dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Iron Fist is looking to clinch but Sojat is avoiding it.

Iron Fist manages to break the clinch.
Iron Fist shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sojat defends it nicely.
Sojat will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Sojat has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Iron Fist uses from the top position.
