PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bill Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aze Gori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Compton comes into the arena with Granville Bowlin - Wild Bill blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Compton is looking to slow Gori down with leg kicks.
Gori changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Compton tries to avoid it but Gori manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Compton to the ground. Compton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gori throws a jab but it's blocked by Compton.

and Compton counters with an inside leg kick.
Compton dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gori. That did some damage!
Compton lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Compton plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Compton fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gori has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Compton throws a front kick that sends Gori stumbling back into the cage.

A head kick by Compton - that's a beauty! Gori is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Compton can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bill Compton!
