Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Parker McQuail (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Cerrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McQuail's entrance music is Glasgow Kiss. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Parker McQuail!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Don Cerrone!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McQuail drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Cerrone tries to get back to half guard but can't.

McQuail tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Cerrone is trying to improve his position.
Cerrone prevents McQuail from improving position.
Cerrone manages to work his way to half guard, despite McQuail's best efforts.
McQuail wants to free his trapped foot but Cerrone is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Cerrone is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

McQuail looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

McQuail moves into full mount! Cerrone won't be happy about that!
Cerrone slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Cerrone is looking to improve his position.
McQuail is looking to advance position but Cerrone won't allow it.
McQuail is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
McQuail connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cerrone tries to get back to half guard but can't.
McQuail trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Cerrone tries to reverse the position but McQuail maintains control.
McQuail connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McQuail landing punches.
McQuail with shots to the head and body - Cerrone looks very uncomfortable down there.
McQuail has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

McQuail wants to finish this one by submission but Cerrone is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McQuail.
McQuail postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cerrone looks a forlorn figure.
Cerrone is trying desperately to improve position.

McQuail is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cerrone to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cerrone shrugs it off.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cerrone tries to lock up and control but McQuail gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Cerrone is squirming around, avoiding McQuail's attempts to control the action.
Cerrone is desperately trying to improve his position but McQuail has a good base and remains in mount.
BOOM! McQuail connects with a massive shot to the dome!

McQuail working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cerrone is desperately trying to improve his position but McQuail has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McQuail looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Cerrone working to try and regain half guard.
McQuail working away from the top, dropping strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McQuail landing shots from mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McQuail is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Cerrone has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Cerrone!
McQuail is trying to keep Cerrone in close.
Cerrone throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McQuail works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cerrone throwing strikes from guard but McQuail blocks nicely.
Cerrone tries to stand but McQuail is controlling from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Parker McQuail dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


McQuail connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Nice sprawl there from McQuail as Cerrone shoots in.
Cerrone shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McQuail defends it nicely.
McQuail fails to land with a series of punches.
Cerrone tries to clinch up.
Cerrone wants to clinch but McQuail slips to the side
and McQuail counters with a thumping low kick.
Cerrone darts in trying to clinch

and McQuail counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cerrone won't be happy with that.

That's one minute gone in the round.

McQuail has hold of Cerrone's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Cerrone seems comfortable defending it but McQuail has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Cerrone is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Cerrone is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but McQuail couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Parker McQuail!
After the fight, Parker McQuail was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
