Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalstrom Lukuiama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank MIr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MIr has chosen Kanye West - Amazing as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lukuiama is defended easily by MIr.
MIr moves out of range of the body kick.
MIr tries to clinch but Lukuiama moves out of range.
MIr rushes Lukuiama and presses him up against the cage.
MIr landing knees to the body.
MIr lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lukuiama backwards.
Lukuiama avoiding damage as MIr throws knees to the body.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Lukuiama.
Lukuiama blocks the elbow strike.
Lukuiama goes for a takedown attempt but MIr pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Lukuiama defending well as MIr loads up on a big left hand.
Lukuiama tries to close the distance and clinch but MIr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
MIr fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lukuiama, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
MIr just leaning against Lukuiama, taking a breather.
MIr tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Lukuiama could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

MIr's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
MIr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lukuiama tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
MIr fails to land with a series of punches.
Horrible takedown by MIr or perhaps it was just good defense by Lukuiama which made him look bad.
Frank MIr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lukuiama checks a low kick from MIr.
MIr misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lukuiama.
Lukuiama throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lukuiama throws a right hand that MIr ducks under and follows up with a left that MIr also avoids with ease.
Lukuiama fails with a takedown attempt.

MIr tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lukuiama sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten MIr somewhat.
MIr will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
MIr throws a jab when Lukuiama was well out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
MIr pivots, looking for a leg kick but Lukuiama is out of range and MIr settles back down.

Lukuiama is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but MIr has just dragged him back down to the mat.
MIr wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lukuiama, who protects the arm well.

MIr misses with the ground and pound.
MIr trying to control the position but Lukuiama is working away.

This has been an exciting period of action!
MIr landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
MIr stands up.
MIr connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
MIr throws a low kick but it's checked well by Lukuiama.
MIr pulls out of a head kick attempt.
MIr throws a leg kick that misses.
MIr thows a body shot but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank MIr dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
MIr throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
MIr throws a body kick that misses.
MIr shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lukuiama decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in MIr's guard.
Lukuiama has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Lukuiama is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
MIr manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lukuiama manages to get himself to full guard.
MIr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

MIr thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

MIr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Lukuiama controls MIr momentarily but MIr frees himself.
Lukuiama manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
MIr is trying desperately to improve position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
MIr regains half guard.
Lukuiama slows the pace down in half guard.

MIr tries to roll over but Lukuiama keeps him under control.
MIr looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
MIr looks like he's trying to stand up.

Lukuiama wants to take a breather but MIr is having none of it.
MIr is looking for a sweep. Lukuiama is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
MIr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lukuiama is working away from the top position though.

MIr is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lukuiama pulls his head out easily.
MIr is breathing heavily.
MIr looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Lukuiama perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
MIr wants to improve his position but Lukuiama is controlling well.
MIr trying to control but Lukuiama postures up.
Lukuiama is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
MIr is looking to control Lukuiama's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can MIr avoid being mounted?

MIr might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lukuiama haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
We're going to have a standup here because Kalstrom Lukuiama wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
MIr misses the jab.
Frank MIr seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Lukuiama tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. MIr manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
MIr avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
MIr shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than MIr was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Lukuiama struggling a bit here.
Lukuiama wants to get back to his feet but MIr drags him back down.
MIr trying to control the action but Lukuiama is working from the bottom.
Lukuiama wants to control but MIr postures up.

MIr has hold of Lukuiama's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lukuiama tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - MIr cranks the arm and Lukuiama screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lukuiama, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Frank MIr!
After winning the bout, Frank MIr thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
