The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko closes the distance and clinches up with Li, looking for a takedown. Emelianenko pushes Li against the cage but Li circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Emelianenko dodges the punch combination from Li.
Li throws a nice looking combination but Emelianenko bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Li fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Li will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Li misses with a body kick.
Li misses with a series of wild punches.
Emelianenko dodges the punch combination from Li.
No joy there for Li, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Li rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Emelianenko moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Li misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Emelianenko dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Li. That did some damage!

Li throws a head kick that misses.
Emelianenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Li pinned against the cage. Li gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Li cracks a nice hook into Emelianenko's ribs.

Yize Li has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fedor Emelianenko.

Li drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Emelianenko right on the button. Emelianenko goes down! Li follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Li gets the win via TKO!

A relieved looking Yize Li thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
