Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Badr Badr Hari! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Louis Gaudinot! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Badr Hari gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gaudinot to score an easy takedown into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gaudinot stands up and waves to Badr Hari to follow him. Gaudinot fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Badr Hari has a takedown stuffed. Badr Hari has Gaudinot up against the cage in a clinch.
Badr Hari breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Badr Hari scores with a hook to the body. Gaudinot takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Badr Hari clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Badr Hari pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gaudinot fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gaudinot is trying hard to land a takedown here. Badr Hari sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Badr Badr Hari has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Louis Gaudinot. Badr Hari with a jab. Badr Hari looks for a takedown but Gaudinot sprawls well. Badr Hari shoots in looking for a takedown. Gaudinot tries to sprawl out of it but Badr Hari keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gaudinot manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Gaudinot shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Badr Hari manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Gaudinot is pushing down on Badr Hari's leg trying to pass to half guard. Badr Hari is fighting to maintain full guard but Gaudinot has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gaudinot with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Gaudinot maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Badr Hari could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gaudinot has cracked it and Badr Hari is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gaudinot!
