Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Chavo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Riviera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Chavo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rico Sauve by Girardo. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavo lands a jab to Riviera's midsection.

Riviera changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chavo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Chavo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Riviera asserts his dominance and retains side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chavo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Riviera does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chavo connects with a nice short shot to Riviera's temple.
