Washington comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Show Goes On-Lupe Fiasco kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Hector Gonzales has the better chin. Gonzales uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Washington.
Gonzales lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Washington backs up against the cage.
It looks like Dennis Washington has been cut.
Washington looks to land a combination but Gonzales avoids it well.
Gonzales misses with a hook. Washington ducked under it nicely.
Washington loads up on a big right hand but Gonzales slips the punch.
Washington fails to land with a series of punches.
Washington lands with an overhand left.
Gonzales throws a jab when Washington was well out of range.
Washington misses with a looping right.
A telegraphed right hand from Gonzales misses the target.
Washington avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Washington throws a jab but it's blocked by Gonzales.
Washington takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Washington looks to land a combination. Gonzales sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Washington connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gonzales's hands.
Washington misses with a straight right.
Gonzales closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Washington! Gonzales dives in looking to finish! Washington is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
