Tetradze has chosen Eye Of The Tiger as his entrance music. Ruslan Tetradze has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Frank Sirpico's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Sirpico!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ruslan Tetradze!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Franklyn Lucas and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tetradze keeps the fight on the outside.
Sirpico tries to clinch up.

Tetradze instigates a clinch.

Sirpico jumps guard.
Tetradze postures up.
Sirpico utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Sirpico is looking for a triangle but Tetradze pushes his legs off easily.
Sirpico being controlled here, momentarily.
Let's hope that Tetradze has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Tetradze postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sirpico is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Tetradze slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Tetradze must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Sirpico is pulling down on Tetradze's head. It's preventing any offense from Tetradze, at least for the moment.
Tetradze is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sirpico is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tetradze is controlling him.
Tetradze is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ruslan Tetradze wasn't active enough on the ground.
Sirpico wants to clinch.

Tetradze gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Tetradze goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sirpico prevents it.

Sirpico manages to break the clinch.
Tetradze tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sirpico swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sirpico shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tetradze defends it nicely.
Tetradze tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sirpico paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tetradze tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sirpico swivels and escapes.

Sirpico rushes Tetradze and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tetradze keeps control of Sirpico as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Tetradze has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sirpico after a bit of a struggle.
Frank Sirpico has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ruslan Tetradze.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Tetradze prevents a takedown attempt there.
Tetradze has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sirpico avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Sirpico has Tetradze pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tetradze manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Tetradze ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tetradze no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Tetradze trying to keep a closed guard but Sirpico is proving a slippery customer.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Frank Sirpico has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Sirpico lands a head kick. Tetradze smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice sprawl there from Tetradze as Sirpico shoots in.
Sirpico fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sirpico is breathing heavily.
Sirpico lands a nice looking body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Sirpico will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A big right from Tetradze misses.
Tetradze fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sirpico avoids it really well and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tetradze.
Tetradze throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sirpico's waist but Sirpico gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tetradze off to one side.
Frank Sirpico has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ruslan Tetradze.
Tetradze leaves Sirpico with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tetradze takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Tetradze closes the distance and clinches.

Sirpico drags the fight down to the ground.

Sirpico has his feet on Tetradze's thighs here. He's pushed Tetradze off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Tetradze screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
