The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Emmanuel Bredenberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
LeBlond tries a head kick but it misses.

Bredenberg shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in LeBlond's guard.
LeBlond lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bredenberg!
LeBlond postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bredenberg looks a forlorn figure.

LeBlond is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bredenberg defends it well.
LeBlond passes the guard and advances to mount!

LeBlond has hold of Bredenberg's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bredenberg manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
LeBlond lands a big elbow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bredenberg is looking to get to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bredenberg bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

That was a close round but I would say that Emmanuel Bredenberg will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bredenberg tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
LeBlond throws a jab when Bredenberg was well out of range.
Bredenberg throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from LeBlond, right into the meat.
Bredenberg lands a nice hook to LeBlond's body. LeBlond takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Good leg kick by LeBlond there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
LeBlond throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
LeBlond lands a glancing blow to the side of Bredenberg's head.

and LeBlond counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bredenberg won't be happy with that.
LeBlond wants to control but Bredenberg is keeping him busy.

LeBlond has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Bredenberg is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. LeBlond yanks on the arm and Bredenberg is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by LeBlond.
