PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Errol Jitani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Gnay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jitani comes into the arena with El Condor Pasa blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Errol Jitani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wayne Gnay!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gnay throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jitani.
Gnay lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jitani circles away quickly and effectively.
Gnay feints a jab promting Jitani to slip. Gnay then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jitani slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Jitani fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Jitani throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gnay on the side of the head.
Jitani staying out of range there.
Gnay looks to land a combination but Jitani avoids it well.
Gnay throws a right and a left that Jitani avoids nicely.
Nice uppercut there from Jitani.
Gnay misses with a double jab.
A big left from Jitani misses.
Wayne Gnay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gnay will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gnay looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Jitani throws a sloppy head kick and Gnay moves out of range easily.
Gnay takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Gnay misses with a few strikes there.

Jitani throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gnay throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Jitani counter with a right hand.
Gnay tries to bum rush Jitani with a series of wild strikes but Jitani uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gnay takes a jab right on the kisser.
Gnay throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jitani is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Gnay lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Good exchange - Jitani coming out on top.

Gnay is rocked!
Jitani feints with a jab and clips Gnay right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Gnay is sent crashing into the canvas and Jitani leaps in for the kill! Gnay tries to get to his feet but Jitani is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Gnay is in need of a savior and steps in!
