Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Logan Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aiden McIlvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Logan Briggs looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aiden McIlvey!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McIlvey drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Briggs keeping moving, preventing McIlvey from controlling successfully.
McIlvey being controlled here momentarily.

McIlvey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Briggs wants to stand but McIlvey is controlling the position.

McIlvey postures up in Briggs's guard and throws a big left but Briggs blocks it.

Briggs isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. McIlvey stacks Briggs on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by McIlvey!
McIlvey is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Briggs's shoulder. That is not cool.
Briggs sneaks back into half guard.
Briggs is trying to control but can't.
McIlvey blocks the strikes from Briggs.
McIlvey working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Briggs's thigh. Briggs counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Briggs keeping moving, preventing McIlvey from controlling successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McIlvey is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Aiden McIlvey hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Briggs manages to get an easy takedown there - catching McIlvey on his heels. He'll look to pass McIlvey's guard now, I'm sure.
Briggs is breathing heavily.

McIlvey has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Briggs can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Briggs has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing McIlvey to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Briggs is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - McIlvey pulls down on the head and he's put Briggs to sleep! This one is all over!
