Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dalton Pressnell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Matt Courchesne!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Courchesne tries to bum rush Pressnell with a series of wild strikes but Pressnell uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Courchesne throws a push kick but Pressnell slaps the foot to one side.
Pressnell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Courchesne fails with a takedown attempt.
Pressnell closes the distance looking to clinch

and Courchesne counters by clinching up.
Pressnell wants to break free but Courchesne has control.
Courchesne goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pressnell prevents it.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Courchesne's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Pressnell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Courchesne is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Courchesne is pushing Pressnell up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pressnell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Courchesne moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pressnell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Courchesne as he avoids it easily.

Courchesne has his foot on Pressnell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pressnell works his way back into a safe position though.

Courchesne throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pressnell escapes and throws Courchesne's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Matt Courchesne is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Courchesne has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
