The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reich shoots in and drives through. Dark sprawls well.
Reich doesn't manage to clinch there - Dark circles away.
Reich shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dark pinned against the cage. Dark gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Oooh a lovely combination from Dark sends Reich down but not out. Dark dives into side control looking to finish.
Reich tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dark wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Reich is working hard here to advance position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reich is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Dark pulls his head out easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Reich takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Reich shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dark as he jumps to the side.

Reich shoots for a double leg takedown but Dark sprawls well. He's pushed Reich's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Reich changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dark tries to avoid it but Reich manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dark to the ground. Dark escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Dark drops Reich with a left and a right! Oh, Reich is hurt - Dark dives into side control looking to finish!

Reich wants to improve his position but Dark is controlling well.

Dark will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dark stuffs the takedown attempt from Reich. Reich gets slowly back to his feet.

Reich misses with a takedown attempt - Dark sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Reich shoots for a takedown but Dark saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Dark ducks under a wild hook from Reich.
Dark throws a series of punches but Reich moves out of range.

The fight stays on the outside here - Reich looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
