Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Veterano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Efrain Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Veterano comes to the ring accompanied by Turn The Lights Out . Efrain Vera has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcelo Veterano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Efrain Vera!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veterano displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vera.
A right-left combo lands from Veterano.
Vera throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Veterano's waist but Veterano gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vera off to one side.
Vera shoots for a takedown but Veterano saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Marcelo Veterano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Efrain Vera.

Vera drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Veterano's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Veterano is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Veterano is looking to get back to his feet here but Vera is keeping cool and he's managed to take Veterano's back.

Veterano tries to escape but Vera has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Well, with Vera on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Veterano is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Veterano can't escape the position.
Veterano wants to control his opponent's hands but Vera gets his hands free.
Vera has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Veterano is trapped and Vera is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Vera lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Vera.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Vera is landing with strikes. Veterano can't take much more of this.
Veterano trying to control the position but Vera manages to sink in the hooks.
Vera is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Vera gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Vera gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Vera apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Vera tightens his grip and picks Veterano up, before dumping him to the ground. Veterano manages to land in guard.
Vera lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Vera working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Veterano is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Vera in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Vera connects with a couple of short punches.

Vera working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Veterano's head.

Veterano will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Vera is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Vera advances position into side control!
Vera lands a decent elbow from side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Veterano tries to bench press Vera off him but Vera keeps the position.
Vera lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Veterano down.

Veterano is rocked!
Veterano takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Oh Veterano is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vera scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Veterano is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Vera can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Efrain Vera!
As Efrain Vera got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: To the ones who doubted me, FUCK YOU!!! I'm here to stay!!!'.
