Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Budo Rei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rei has chosen Alice in Chains - No Excuses as his entrance music. Leroy Brown has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
30 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Leroy Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
24 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Budo Rei!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Brown.
Brown waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rei.
Rei has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rei there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Budo Rei has been cut.
Rei is looking to score with low kicks.
Brown tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rei was well out of range. Poor timing from Brown.
Brown looks to land a combination but Rei avoids it well.
Brown misses with a hook. Rei ducked under it nicely.
Rei tries to land a leg kick but Brown saw it coming and moves away.
Rei dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brown. That did some damage!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nice defenses there by Rei.
Leroy Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brown misses with a body kick.
Rei throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rei keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Rei throws a shot from downtown. Brown moves away and avoids it.
Rei throws a front kick aimed at Brown's knee but Brown avoids it well.
Brown takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Rei motions for Brown to come forward. Rei throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Brown ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rei smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Rei chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brown can pounce on him.
A slow jab from Rei misses its intended target.
Rei swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Brown thumps Rei with a low kick.
Brown stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A nice leg kick lands there from Rei.
Brown moves away from the strike by Rei.
Brown throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rei stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rei misses with a wild combination.
Brown throws a hook but Rei blocks it.
Brown throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rei tries to land a leg kick but Brown saw it coming and moves away.
A decent looking cross lands there for Brown.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brown sends Rei crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Brown is motioning to the referee to let Rei up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Rei is rocked!
That has opened up Budo Rei's cut even more.
Brown finds Rei's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Rei flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Brown lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Rei will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Leroy Brown!
