Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andy Newell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sargent Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newell scores with the left hand. Nelson knows he should have avoided that one.

It looks like Sargent Nelson has been cut.

Newell uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Newell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Nelson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Nelson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Nelson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Newell is trying to defend but Nelson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Nelson wants to take a breather but Newell is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nelson slips a nice elbow through Newell's hands, connecting with Newell's forehead.
Newell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nelson on the ground.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nelson is taking a breather. Newell says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
