Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Masahiko Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Masahiko Kimura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura connects with a single shot there.
Lewis misses with an uppercut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kimura. Lewis does a little dance to reset his feet.

Kimura changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lewis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Kimura looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Lewis wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Lewis is trying to control Kimura's posture but Kimura avoids it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kimura has hold of Lewis's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lewis manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kimura goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Lewis is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Lewis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lewis is not content to let Kimura control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lewis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Kimura stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lewis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kimura tries to pass to full mount but Lewis defends it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kimura is looking to take a break and control but Lewis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Still in half guard, Kimura seems content to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Kimura's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Lewis works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Kimura throws a shot from downtown. Lewis moves away and avoids it.
Lewis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kimura thows a body shot but no joy.
Kimura ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lewis moves away.
Lewis bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kimura is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lewis.
Lewis looks to throw the jab but Kimura is out of range.

Lewis gets caught flat footed, as Kimura shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kimura is pushing down on Lewis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lewis is fighting to maintain full guard but Kimura has managed to sneak the leg through.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lewis lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kimura has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kimura and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Lewis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kimura can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Scott Lewis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kimura is just content to waste time from the top position. Lewis takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lewis is striking from the bottom but Kimura uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Lewis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Scott Lewis.
I think Kimura has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
