Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mal Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaspars Timma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reynolds comes to the cage accompanied by Can't take the sky from me. Timma is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Adrenaline Rush. Kaspars Timma told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timma fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Reynolds looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Timma punishes Reynolds's body with a nice straight punch.
Reynolds uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Timma.
Good exchange - Timma coming out on top.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Reynolds checks a leg kick.

Timma lands a nice hook to Reynolds's body. Reynolds takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Timma fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Reynolds.

Reynolds looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Timma is fending him off so far but Reynolds persists. Nope, Timma circles away and we're back to standing.

Timma connects with a leg kick. Reynolds looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Timma throws a hook but Reynolds blocks it.
Timma throws the left hand but Reynolds avoids the punch easily.
Kaspars Timma seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Timma clobbers Reynolds with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A solid leg kick lands there for Timma.
Timma throws a head kick that misses.
Timma throws a hook to the side of Reynolds's head but Reynolds sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Reynolds on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A bone on bone clash there as Reynolds blocks the leg kick.
Reynolds throws a left and a right that both miss
and Timma makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Reynolds will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Timma's jab looks to have found its range, popping Reynolds under the eye.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Timma has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
