The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith connects with a looping right hand.
Smith throws a right and a left that Dre avoids nicely.
Smith throws a nice looking combination but Dre bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the cage. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smith lands a slapping body shot.
Smith fails to land with a series of punches.
Smith thuds his right hand into Dre's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Smith connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dre. Dre circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Dre is rocked!
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dre is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him?
A combination from Dre does no damage.
Nice defenses there by Dre.
Smith lands a with a good body shot.
Dre seems to have recovered his senses.
Smith lands with an uppercut that bounces Dre off the cage and back into rage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith lands a jab to Dre's midsection.
John Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dre looks gassed!
Nice straight punches there by Smith. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Smith.
Smith lands with a shot to the body.
Smith cracks Dre with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Dre tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Smith pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Dre is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
