The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryou lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Ryou explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Freason showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ryou.
Ryou displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Ryou rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Freason moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ryou lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Freason is rocked!

Ryou looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Oh Freason is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ryou closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ryou lands in his opponent's guard.

Ryou stuffs the takedown attempt from Freason. Freason gets slowly back to his feet.

Freason shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ryou as he jumps to the side.
Ryou throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Freason shoots in but Ryou avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Freason is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ryou.
The fight stays on the outside here - Freason looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Freason shoots for a takedown but Ryou saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ryou lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ryou.
Ryou looks to land a combination. Freason sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Freason fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ryou blocks a head kick by Freason.
Ryou takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Freason throws a big shot that misses.
Ryou scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Billy Bob Freason is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Freason misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ryou throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ryou lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Freason shoots in for a takedown but Ryou shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ryou turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Freason is trying to improve his position.

Ryou wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Freason's closed guard. He's half up but Freason has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Freason pivots and extends the arm, Ryou falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Freason! Well done that man!

Billy Bob Freason opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
