The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy throws a head kick that Azirueq semi-blocks.

It looks like Paw Azirueq has been cut.

Hardy rushes Azirueq and presses him up against the cage.
Hardy tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Azirueq lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Azirueq slips a nice elbow through Hardy's hands, connecting with Hardy's forehead.

Hardy wants to get back to his feet.
Azirueq looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Hardy tries to kick Azirueq off but Azirueq keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Azirueq has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hardy is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Azirueq scores with a couple of nice shots.

Azirueq seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Azirueq in particular looking to stall.
Hardy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hardy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Azirueq pulls his head out easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Azirueq scores with a big shot! Hardy's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Hardy! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
