The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mortensen throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Mortensen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Mortensen closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side
and Johnson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Mortensen is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Dan Johnson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
