Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carver Cade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thurgood Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins has chosen Mary Jane as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Carver Cade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thurgood Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cade throws a series of punches but Jenkins avoids them all with ease.
Cade gets the takedown into side control.
Jenkins is looking to reverse the position.
Cade in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Jenkins is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Jenkins is not content to let Cade control the position.
Jenkins is trying to get back to full guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cade connects with a nice short shot to Jenkins's temple.
Cade wants to take a breather but Jenkins is having none of it.
Cade sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jenkins defending well though.
Jenkins is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jenkins gets full guard.

Jenkins can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cade controls the pace.
Cade working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jenkins's head.
Cade postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Jenkins is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Cade postures up and lands a big shot to Jenkins's brow.
Cade throws an elbow that misses. Jenkins uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cade's guard. Nice move by Jenkins!
Jenkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Cade is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cade wants to stand but Jenkins is controlling the position.
Jenkins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jenkins wants to control from the top but Cade keeps moving.

Cade trying to keep a closed guard but Jenkins is proving a slippery customer.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jenkins lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cade takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Jenkins shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Cade throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cade will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jenkins lands a nice shot that snaps Cade's head back.
A good leg kick by Cade.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jenkins throws a hook to the side of Cade's head but Cade sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cade takes one to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Left hook, right uppercut from Cade.
It looks like Thurgood Jenkins has been cut.
Cade looks to score with a jab to the body but Jenkins is just out of range.
Jenkins takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jenkins bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jab by Cade.
Jenkins is rocked!
Cade sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Jenkins's defenses. It connects perfectly with Jenkins's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Carver Cade!
Carver Cade was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
