Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ben Dingdown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Deurell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dingdown comes to the cage accompanied by Baggy Trousers. Ben Dingdown has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Deurell!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Deurell clinches with his opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dingdown is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Deurell is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dingdown to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dingdown shrugs it off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dingdown is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Dingdown wants to control but Deurell is having none of it.

Dingdown sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

John Deurell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Dingdown tries to close the distance and clinch but Deurell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Deurell is working for a kimura here but Dingdown manages to reverse the position and he's now in Deurell's guard.
John Deurell has got the better of the ground game so far.
Dingdown is in close to Deurell's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Dingdown got a little sloppy there for a moment and Deurell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dingdown has managed to get both his arms back between Deurell's legs - danger averted.
Dingdown postures up in Deurell's guard and throws a big left but Deurell blocks it.
Deurell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Deurell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ben Dingdown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Dingdown takes the fight into the clinch.
Deurell changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dingdown fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Deurell tries for a takedown but Dingdown sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ben Dingdown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Deurell.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Deurell closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

John Deurell is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Deurell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

I've got Deurell winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
