PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Mayweather (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cain comes into the arena with A Warrior's Call blaring out of the sound system. Mayweather has chosen Yep as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cain misses with an uppercut. Mayweather saw that one coming.
Mayweather stuffs the takedown.
Cain stuffs the takedown attempt from Mayweather. Mayweather gets slowly back to his feet.
Cain swings for the body but Mayweather moves out of range.
Mayweather avoids the body shot from Cain.
Mayweather shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cain pinned against the cage. Cain gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Cain throws out a loose jab but Mayweather uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cain throws a hook but Mayweather blocks it.
Mayweather slips under a jab.
Cain misses with a looping left.
Cain fails to land with a series of punches.

Mayweather shoots in and gets a takedown into Cain's guard.
Mayweather stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cain swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cain is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mayweather is aware though and is defending well.

Mayweather in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Cain not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Cain has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mayweather can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mayweather stands up over Cain, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Mayweather chips away with some ground and pound.

Cain is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mayweather is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mayweather postures up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mayweather's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cain controls Mayweather momentarily but Mayweather frees himself.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cain looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mayweather is one step ahead there.
Mayweather stands up over Cain, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Mayweather with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Cain is rocked!
Cain is trying to keep Mayweather in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mayweather throws a big elbow that misses.
Mayweather loads up on a big left hand. Cain felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Mayweather looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Cain can't hide his disappointment, as Mayweather celebrates the victory.
