Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenshi Zuko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Furlong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zuko kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Wu Tang- Hellz Wind Staff. Furlong has chosen Say it Ain't So as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kenshi Zuko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Edward Furlong!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Furlong. Zuko does a little dance to reset his feet.
Zuko comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Zuko shoots in and bounces Furlong off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Zuko throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Furlong works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Zuko wants to pass the guard but Furlong is keeping the position.
Zuko working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Zuko is looking to work some ground and pound but Furlong has wrist control.

Furlong had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Zuko defends it easily.
Zuko throws an elbow that misses. Furlong uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Zuko's guard. Nice move by Furlong!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zuko can't keep his opponent in guard - Furlong advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Zuko is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Furlong is aware though and is defending well.
Furlong lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zuko is on top in guard.
Furlong wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Zuko is now in half guard.

Zuko not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Furlong is refusing to be controlled, as Zuko sits in half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zuko wants to sweep but Furlong has passed to side control!

Furlong swings around for an armbar but Zuko sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Furlong's guard.
Furlong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zuko is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Furlong jumps into side control!

Furlong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zuko keeps working.
Zuko tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Furlong presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Furlong tries to control but Zuko wriggling away.
Furlong punishing his opponent with strikes.
Furlong trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Furlong is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Zuko is desperately trying to improve his position but Furlong has a good base and remains in mount.
Furlong wants to control the pace but Zuko is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Edward Furlong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Furlong pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Zuko back to the cage. Furlong follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Kenshi Zuko has been cut.
Zuko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Furlong moves away.
Furlong throws a combination that misses
letting Zuko counter with a right hand.
Furlong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Furlong avoids a punch combination nicely.
Furlong throws a quick inside leg kick.
Some wild striking there from Furlong.

Furlong takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Zuko looks to score with a jab to the body but Furlong is just out of range.
Furlong waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Zuko.
Furlong misses with a series of wild punches.
Furlong is trying hard to land a takedown here. Zuko sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Furlong just misses with a punch to the body.
Zuko throws a shot from downtown. Furlong moves away and avoids it.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Zuko crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Furlong - the referee stops the clock and Zuko gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Furlong. Zuko manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Furlong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zuko moves away.

No joy there for Furlong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

enabling Zuko to counter with a crisp jab.
Furlong walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Furlong is trying hard to land a takedown here. Zuko sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Zuko throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Furlong ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Zuko misses with a lunging right hand
and Furlong counters with a straight right hand.
Zuko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zuko wants it to stay on the feet.
Kenshi Zuko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edward Furlong.

Furlong misses with a series of wild punches.
Furlong walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Zuko lands a right hook to the body.
Zuko tries a head kick but it misses.
A slapping leg kick lands for Zuko.
Furlong misses with a looping right.
Zuko cracks a nice hook into Furlong's ribs.
Furlong cracks the inside of Zuko's front leg.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Furlong fails to land with a series of punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Furlong moves forwards but Zuko connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Zuko throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kenshi Zuko showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Zuko has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
