The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Margera counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Vitor Gracie has been cut.
Gracie fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Margera tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gracie was well out of range. Poor timing from Margera.
Margera looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Margera ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Margera misses with a hook. Gracie ducked under it nicely.

Gracie's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Margera connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gracie scrambles back to his feet.

Gracie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Margera is trying to get back to his feet.
Margera isn't going anywhere.
Margera is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gracie asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Margera knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Margera closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Margera lands in his opponent's guard.

Margera is sitting in close to Gracie's body. Gracie has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Margera is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Margera is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Gracie.
