PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rodrick Skiter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Cozak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cozak is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dies Irae. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skiter tries to bum rush Cozak with a series of wild strikes but Cozak uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Cozak slips under a jab.
Cozak gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Skiter throws a hook to the side of Cozak's head but Cozak sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Skiter digs a good hook to Cozak's body.
Cozak closes this distance looking for a takedown but Skiter circles away.
Cozak blocks a jab.
Skiter avoids the head kick by Cozak.
Cozak throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cozak tries to clinch there but Skiter circles away.
Skiter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cozak.
Cozak throws a sloppy head kick and Skiter moves out of range easily.
Skiter throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cozak tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Skiter throws a jab when Cozak was well out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cozak throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Skiter's head.

Skiter misses with a hook. Cozak ducked under it nicely.
Skiter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Skiter throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cozak counters with a big head kick but Skiter shrugs it off.
Skiter looks to throw the jab but Cozak is out of range.
Skiter takes a kick to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Skiter lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

and Skiter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Skiter lands a big right hand that sends Cozak crashing to the mat! Skiter stays standing though and waves Cozak back to his feet!

Cozak is rocked!

Skiter drops Cozak with a beautiful combination! Cozak stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Skiter is looking for the KO!
Cozak is still on wobbly legs! Can Skiter finish him?

Skiter lands a slapping body shot.
Cozak walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Skiter dances in with a quick combination. Cozak is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Skiter snaps Cozak's head back. Cozak stumbles backwards against the ropes. Skiter steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Cozak's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Cozak just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rodrick Skiter!
A relieved looking Rodrick Skiter thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
