The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eugenio circles away from the clinch attempt
and Eugenio counters with a three punch combo that has Burgandy backing up. Burgandy nods at Eugenio to acknowledge the strikes.
Burgandy tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Eugenio counters with a head kick that drops Burgandy to the mat! Burgandy scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burgandy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Burgandy has Eugenio up against the cage in a clinch.
The referee calls for Burgandy to work.
Burgandy tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Burgandy has had enough of the clinch but Eugenio keeps him there for the moment.

Burgandy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Burgandy closes the distance but Eugenio moves to the side
and Eugenio counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

It looks like Chupopo Eugenio has been cut.

and Eugenio finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Burgandy seems to have recovered his senses.
