Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Douglas Quaid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ilya Porunov!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Porunov has his takedown stuffed

and Quaid counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Porunov!
Porunov tries to buck Quaid off but Quaid is having none of it.
Porunov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Quaid wants to stand but Porunov has his arm trapped.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Quaid stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Quaid wants it to stay on the feet.

Ilya Porunov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
