Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joey Ju (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luiz Thiaguinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Ju.
Thiaguinho fails with a takedown attempt.

Ju ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ju no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Thiaguinho lands with a hook. Ju tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Thiaguinho shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ju's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Luiz Thiaguinho has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Ju manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Thiaguinho manages to get himself to full guard.

Ju wants to get up but he can't break Thiaguinho's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Thiaguinho working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ju doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ju manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Thiaguinho misses with a takedown attempt - Ju sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Joey Ju has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luiz Thiaguinho.

Ju tries to clinch but Thiaguinho is having none of it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ju tries to clinch up but Thiaguinho circles away and keeps his distance.

Thiaguinho shoots in looking for a takedown but Ju manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Thiaguinho's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Thiaguinho feints and as Ju raises his hands in defense, Thiaguinho changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
