The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bregenzer throws the left hand but Hardy avoids the punch easily.
Hardy swats away the attempt to clinch by Bregenzer.
Hardy darts in and clinches Bregenzer up against the cage.
Bregenzer lands an elbow inside that Hardy shrugs off.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Hardy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Hardy gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Hardy apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Bregenzer uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hardy has time to react.

Hardy sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bregenzer's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hardy is looking to work some ground and pound but Bregenzer has wrist control.

Hardy gets to mount! Bregenzer was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Hardy has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bregenzer's face.
