PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edvard Lindseth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Jiminiy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jimmy Jiminiy was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edvard Lindseth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Jiminiy!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lindseth tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jiminiy paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jiminiy ducks under a wild hook from Lindseth.
Lindseth moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Jiminiy takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lindseth jabs Jiminiy to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Lindseth scores with a nice right hand.
Jiminiy is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lindseth.
Lindseth looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Lindseth has closed the distance and engaged Jiminiy in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lindseth comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like Jimmy Jiminiy has been cut.
Jiminiy is looking to break free of the clinch but Lindseth has double underhooks.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lindseth takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Jiminiy.
Lindseth's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
A head punch on the inside from Lindseth fails to land.
Lindseth comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Lindseth misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jiminiy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lindseth creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Jiminiy blocks an uppercut.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Lindseth.
Jiminiy avoids the elbow strike from Lindseth, against the cage.
Lindseth avoiding damage.
Jiminiy prevents a body shot from Lindseth.
Lindseth misses with some punches.
Lindseth lands an elbow inside that Jiminiy shrugs off.


That has opened up Jimmy Jiminiy's cut even more.
Lindseth doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lindseth misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jiminiy.
A head punch on the inside from Lindseth fails to land.
Jiminiy wants to get back to striking at distance but Lindseth won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lindseth throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Lindseth tries to work over Jiminiy's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Jiminiy blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Lindseth tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Lindseth lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


The cut above Jimmy Jiminiy's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Lindseth lands with a left to the head.


Jimmy Jiminiy's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Jiminiy tries to pull guard but Lindseth forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Jiminiy's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Lindseth tries a body shot but Jiminiy blocks it.
Jiminiy lands a right hand.


It looks like Edvard Lindseth has been cut.
Lindseth is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jiminiy is keeping busy.
Lindseth tries to land a knee to the head but Jiminiy blocks with his arms.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lindseth lands a body punch.
Lindseth lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jimmy Jiminiy's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Edvard Lindseth!
After the big win, Edvard Lindseth made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Backyard Fighting and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
