Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dr Gonzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Konrad Kurze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dr Gonzo has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurze comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gonzo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kurze is fending him off so far but Gonzo persists. Nope, Kurze circles away and we're back to standing.
Kurze takes a swing at Gonzo's ribcage but misses.
Gonzo thuds a left hand into Kurze's body.
Gonzo avoids the body shot from Kurze.
Gonzo takes one on the button.
Gonzo misses the shot to the body.
Kurze throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kurze connects with a body shot.
A slapping leg kick lands for Gonzo.
Kurze tries a head kick but it misses.
Kurze misses with a left hand

and Gonzo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kurze won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kurze controls the position for a moment.
Gonzo throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Gonzo lands a nice forearm strike.
Gonzo trying to control the action but Kurze is working from the bottom.
Kurze tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Gonzo presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Kurze in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Kurze is squirming around, avoiding Gonzo's attempts to control the action.
Kurze is looking to improve his position but Gonzo isn't that keen on the idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kurze sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Kurze wants to control but Gonzo passes into side.
Gonzo is looking to take a break and control but Kurze is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kurze is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Kurze stops Gonzo from passing to mount.

Gonzo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kurze, who protects the arm well.
Kurze manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gonzo's best efforts.

Kurze is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kurze regains full guard. Nicely done.
Gonzo advances position into side control!
Kurze wants to control but Gonzo postures up.
Gonzo trying to control the action but Kurze is working from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gonzo tries to move to mount but Kurze blocks the move with his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dr Gonzo dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kurze swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Gonzo counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kurze's guard now.

Gonzo stands and throws Kurze's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Gonzo in side control lands a decent elbow.
Gonzo controlling the position.
Gonzo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gonzo laying and praying for a moment but Kurze takes advantage and regains half guard.

Kurze is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gonzo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gonzo's back!
Kurze lands a shot to the head.
Gonzo looking very determined here, making life difficult for Kurze.

Kurze has managed to slip his arm under Gonzo's chin. This could be all over... yep, Gonzo is tapping out! Submission win for Kurze.
