Ashantie closes the distance and clinches.
Nice body punch from Ashantie - that landed with a thud.
Tappura displaying some good clinch control by pressing Ashantie up against the cage.
Tappura misses with a short punch on the inside.
Tappura swings wildly with an uppercut but Ashantie uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tappura tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ashantie's elbow.

It looks like Taisto Tappura has been cut.
Tappura will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ashantie up against the cage.
Ashantie misses with a hook to the ribs.
Ashantie drops Tappura with a big knee straight up the middle! Tappura is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Tappura is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ashantie is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Tappura flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Tappura is out cold! Ashantie holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Congo Ashantie!
A relieved looking Congo Ashantie thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
