Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Danza Kuduro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuduro comes to the cage accompanied by Don Omar - Danza Kuduro. Lee has chosen Dragonfly by Shaman's Harvest as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 6 - 2, fighting out of New York, Danza Kuduro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bruce Lee!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuduro swings for the body but Lee moves out of range.
Lee buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Lee takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kuduro scores with a nice right hand.
Lee plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Lee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kuduro just misses with a punch to the body.
Kuduro lands a leg kick that knocks Lee off balance momentarily.
Kuduro throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Lee misses with an attempted mid kick.
Lee digs a good body shot into Kuduro's ribs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lee throws a series of strikes that have Kuduro backpedaling.


It looks like Danza Kuduro has been cut.
Lee throws a low kick but Kuduro moves out of range easily.
Lee throws a front kick aimed at Kuduro's knee but Kuduro avoids it well.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kuduro paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lee dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kuduro. That did some damage!

Kuduro stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Lee is trying to force a seperation but Kuduro has the dominant position.
Lee works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Kuduro prevents a body shot from Lee.
Kuduro is looking to take this one to the mat.
Kuduro is trying to break the clinch but Lee is controlling him.

Lee thuds his right hand into Kuduro's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Lee dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lee dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kuduro swings for the body but Lee moves out of range.
Lee lands with a shot to the body.
Lee takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Lee takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Lee digs a good body shot into Kuduro's ribs.

and Lee counters with a solid body kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lee, right into the meat.

Kuduro gets the takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Lee wants to get back to his feet.
Lee regains half guard there - taking advantage of Kuduro's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Kuduro throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Kuduro wants to take a breather but Lee is having none of it.
Lee pushes Kuduro off looking to stand but Kuduro dives back in and keeps control.

Kuduro wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Danza Kuduro.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kuduro in particular looking to stall.

Kuduro is trying to control the action in half guard but Lee is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Danza Kuduro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bruce Lee is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Lee checks a leg kick.

Lee takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Danza Kuduro.
I think Lee has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
