PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sony Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Draco Tusker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Draco Tusker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tusker throws an overhand right that lands on Chiba's shoulder, as Chiba tries to avoid the shot.
Chiba looks to land a right hand but Tusker moved out of range.
Tusker on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
No joy there for Tusker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Chiba throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Tusker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chiba.
Chiba leaves Tusker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tusker throws a hook to the side of Chiba's head but Chiba sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tusker fails with a takedown attempt.
Tusker throws a lazy right hand but Chiba sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Chiba lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tusker at a distance.
Chiba misses with a series of wild punches.
Chiba throws a combination. Tusker tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Tusker throws a series of punches but Chiba avoids them all with ease.
Tusker moves out of range as Chiba strikes.
Both fighters circling a little - Chiba finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chiba throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tusker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chiba is fending him off so far but Tusker persists. Nope, Chiba circles away and we're back to standing.
Sony Chiba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Draco Tusker.
A big right from Chiba misses.
Chiba throws the left hand but Tusker avoids the punch easily.
Chiba feints and then cracks Tusker's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tusker down.
Tusker looks winded!
Chiba keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Tusker tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Chiba is looking to slow Tusker down with leg kicks.
Sony Chiba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chiba misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tusker blocks a jab.
Chiba fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Good shot there by Chiba.
Chiba feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tuskers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chiba feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Tusker's calf.
Chiba works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Chiba lands with a nice combination. Tusker backs away looking to recover.

Tusker is rocked!
Tusker is trying desperately to land a takedown but Chiba is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Tusker.
Chiba cracks Tusker with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Tusker tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Chiba pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Tusker is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sony Chiba!
