The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alvarez is trying to work for a kimura but Mat is defending well.
Mat looks like he's trying to stand up.
Alvarez slows the pace down in half guard.
Alvarez winds up and cracks Mat with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Alvarez uses his free foot to push down on Mat's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mat.
Mat defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Alvarez.
Alvarez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mat's face.
