The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Pekka wants to control from the top but Sebernau keeps moving.
Sebernau preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Pekka loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Pekka has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Pekka is nestled in close to Sebernau, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Pekka uses his free foot to push down on Sebernau's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sebernau.

Sebernau tries to lock up and control but Pekka gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sebernau takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The referee warns Sebernau that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Sebernau is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pekka postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Sebernau badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Pekka around the waist but Pekka pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Pekka is the winner by TKO! Pekka jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
