Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roddy Piper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Bower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piper comes to the cage accompanied by Real Men Wear Skirts. Matt Bower has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roddy Piper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bower has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Piper finds it's way round the side to connect with Bower's head.
Piper throws a shot from downtown. Bower moves away and avoids it.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bower.
Piper tries to improve position but can't.
Piper sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Bower is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Piper has managed to free his arm - good work.

Piper actively working from the bottom here.
Piper is trying to maintain the position but Bower is very close to passing his half guard.
Bower is nestled in close to Piper, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Bower trying to control from half guard but Piper is working away.
Piper gets full guard.
Bower trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bower advances to half guard.
Bower thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Piper is staying active underneath Bower, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Piper tries to roll over but Bower keeps him under control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Piper is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Bower pulls his head out easily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Piper connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Piper throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Piper throws a hook but Bower avoids it easily.
A punch combination from Bower misses.
Bower moves out of range of the strikes.
Bower moves in looking to clinch but Piper pushes him off.
Bower steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Piper.
Piper thuds his right hand into Bower's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Bower tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Piper throws a series of punches but Bower avoids them all with ease.
Piper misses with an uppercut.
Bower wants to clinch up but Piper keeps it at a distance.
Piper circles away from the clinch attempt.
Piper waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Bower.
Bower walks into a stiff left hand from Piper.
Left hook, right uppercut from Piper.
Piper lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Bower can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Piper and Bower drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Piper.
